A new feature in Windows 7 is the ability to create a
system repair disc. A system repair disc is a bootable CD/DVD which
enables recovery of your computer quickly and easily should files or
Windows itself become corrupted. It can also be used in case of a spyware
or malware to run scanning and removal software using the Windows Recovery
Environment.
Here’s how to do it!
To create a system repair disc:
Click the Start button, then click Control Panel.
The Control Panel window
will appear.
Click System and Maintenance,
followed by Backup and Restore.
Click Create a system repair disc.
Select the CD/DVD drive you wish to create the repair disc.
Insert a blank disc into your computer’s CD/DVD drive.
Click Create disc.
The System repair disc will then be created.
To use the system repair disc:
Insert the newly created system repair disc into your computer’s
CD/DVD drive.
Restart your computer.
Press a key to start the computer from the CD/DVD drive.
Select the appropriate language settings and click Next.
Select a recovery option, and then click
Next.
Operate the Windows Recovery Environment as required.
