 | Double-click the Norton Internet Security icon
from the desktop to run the program. |
 | The Norton Internet Security program will open and
bring you to the Status screen. |
 | Under "Tasks and Scans", click Run a Scan. |
 | Click Run Full System Scan. |
 | Norton Internet Security will then perform a full
system scan of your computer, starting with the commonly infected areas
and start-up files. |
 | At the end of the scan, you will either receive a
message stating that "No viruses, spyware or other risks were found" or
"Scan complete. There are items requiring attention." |
 | If the former, click Finish and close Norton Internet
Security 2007. |
 | If the latter, a list of items that require attention
we will be provided under the "Attention Required" tab. |
 | Click on an item and assess the risk. Typically, you
will be requested to perform an action - Ignore, Fix or
Exclude. Choose the recommended action and click Apply Actions. |
 | Once you've completed this, a message will change to
"All detected security risks have been resolved." |
 | Click Finish and close Norton Internet
Security 2007. |
 | That’s it! You've now manually scanned and removed
viruses and spyware using Norton Internet Security 2007!
