ReadyBoost is a feature of Windows Vista and Windows 7 which enables you to increase the amount of memory installed in your computer without installing additional RAM by using the free space on a portable USB drive. Please note that this requires your computer to support USB 2.0 and the portable USB drive to be “enhanced for ReadyBoost” compatible.

Here’s how to configure ReadyBoost:

q  Insert a compatible “enhanced for ReadyBoost” portable USB drive into your computer’s USB port.

Please note: If AutoPlay appears, simply click Speed up my system using Windows ReadyBoost. This will automatically configure the portable USB drive to allocate as much space free as possible on the USB key to be used as additional memory.
