CyberGuru strives to follow the
Privacy Act 1998 (Cth) in its operations. We follow the ten National
Privacy Principles (NPPs) and these will be used to identify our position
in relation to these.
Principle 1 - Collection
We will only collect personal
information that is necessary for our functions, including contact details
such as name, address, telephone, email and other information as required.
Principle 2 - Use and disclosure
We will only use the information for
sending the required information which you specify to you/your
organisation, however we do hold this information in a database. We use
this information to keep records on the solutions we have performed for
you/your organisation and to send you newsletters. You/your organisation
may unsubscribe however by contacting us. We will not provide any of your
details to any third parties unless you/your organisation have allowed us
to do so. We will be required to disclose some information if you have
requested certain solutions outside our field of work to our partners and
affiliates, such as our web hosting partners or computer service partners.
Information and privacy policies of our partners and affiliates is
available on request.
Principle 3 - Data quality
At certain intervals, we will contact
you to ensure you/your organisation’s details in our database is
up-to-date, complete and accurate.
Principle 4 - Data security
We hold you/your organisation’s
information securely. You/your organisation’s information is protected
from misuse and loss from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Principle 5 - Openness
On request, we will provide you/your
organisation with information we hold, for what purposes, and how it
collects, holds, uses and discloses that information.
Principle 6 - Access and correction
If you would like to see what
information we have about you/your organisation, we will happily do so,
simply contact us. Likewise, if you have any changes to make to your
details, please contact us.
Principle 7 – Identifiers
We do not use any identifiers to
contact you other than the information you/your organisation have provided
to us. However, during your visit to our website, some of your details,
such as IP address, web browser and other information are collected for
statistics but cannot be used to identify you personally. The statistics
we receive do not link you with your web browsing habits, rather the type
of computer, web browser and the website that referred you to our website.
Principle 8 – Anonymity
It is not practical to not identify
yourself/your organisation when utilising our computer solutions, however
you may remain anonymous when using our website.
Principle 9 - Transborder data flow
This principle not applicable to us.
Principle 10 - Sensitive
information
We do not request any information that
is sensitive.
