Microsoft has recently announced the launch of Office 365 for Nonprofits in Australia, which provides eligible organisations with low priced or discounted licences to Microsoft Office 365. This includes the familiar Office applications as well as cloud-based email, calendar, high-definition video conferencing and more.

Microsoft Office 365 includes the familiar products known in the traditional Microsoft Office family, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook, however Office 365’s offerings also include Lync, SharePoint and Yammer:

  • Lync provides the capabilities for video conferencing, which is similar to Skype.
  • SharePoint is an intranet platform providing a place to store information and can help manage documents.
  • Yammer provides collaboration, discussion and hosting of content similar to a private Facebook page.

We are happy to meet with not-for-profit organisations to assist them with moving to Office 365. In our consultation, we can discuss your requirements, determine your needs, provide advice as well as help implement, train and support your organisation in the new technology.

Microsoft Office 365 for Nonprofits is available as a donation to qualifying not-for-profit organisations and through discounted plans, depending on your needs.

CyberGuru offers a free initial consultation to not-for-profit organisations to assess your organisation’s needs. To see whether your organisation qualifies, please visit Microsoft’s Corporate Citizenship website (link opens in new window).
