CyberGuru works extensively with the primary and secondary schools as well as vocational education and training (VET) sector across Queensland.
We have provided professional development to teachers, administrative and educational staff in schools and registered training organisations, both in the private and public school sector. We have assisted schools in delivering VET Certificates in Information, Digital Media and Technology training courses. We are also able to assist schools in delivering quality training in providing Digital Media and STEM skills to students.
This has included:
- Development of training resources for teachers to an industry standard.
- Delivery of teacher professional development to teach Certificate I to III in Information, Digital Media and Technology training to students in schools.
- Provide industry currency, working in partnership with teachers to undertake industry validation and participate in review of their delivery and assessment.
We hold and maintain our Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Working with Children “blue card”, so can work onsite in your school, or educational institution. Although CyberGuru is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we can provide teachers and educational staff with a Statement of Participation as partial evidence so they will be able to go through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process with an RTO.
We can provide onsite and online training on a flexible basis. This can include using face-to-face, internet and mixed modes to provide the required skills to your staff.
“Chris Jeffery worked with us on developing teaching and learning materials to support the delivery of Certificate II in Information Digital Media and Technology. The materials are of a high quality and are easy for both teachers and students to use. We have also engaged Chris to deliver professional development sessions to support our assessors. Chris always conducts himself in a very professional manner, meets deadlines and communicates his knowledge effectively. I would recommend him to other schools delivering certificate courses in the field of Information Technology.”
Anna Petrie, Acting Head of Department Information Communication Technology, Yeronga State High School.
“Chris Jeffery has been an excellent resource of knowledge for us at Balmoral SHS. In a short amount of time we have built a strong partnership between CyberGuru and our school staff. The quality of the training resources of the Certificate I in Information, Digital Media and Technology are student friendly, easy to interpret and well-developed. The CyberGuru’s validation of both the Certificate I and II in Information, Digital Media and Technology was thorough and extremely valuable to our school as Chris took us through each step. We look forward to continuing this partnership in to the future as we look to involve Chris in the upskilling of our teachers through professional development sessions. We will certainly be needing his expert opinion as we move forward in this subject area. I would highly recommend him to any school.”
Ben McKay, VET Co-ordinator, Balmoral State High School
