Apple urges iPhone and iPad users to update their operating systems

Apple is urging all iPhone and iPad users to update their operating systems following the discovery of three security flaws in iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4. While Apple has not gone into details of the flaws, it did warn that the flaws “may have been actively exploited”.

Whilst generally CyberGuru does not support Apple devices, we felt it is necessary to ensure that our clients and prospective clients, as well as website and blog visitors are aware of the update and its importance for their ongoing security and protection.

To check for updates, go to Settings, then General, then choose Software Updates. Follow the prompts to download and install this onto your device. We recommend you use a WiFi connection when doing this rather than a 4G or 5G internet connection. If you require assistance in doing this, we suggest you book an appointment with an Apple Genius at your local Apple Store.
