What are Managed Services?

Our Managed Services are designed to proactively monitor and manage your IT environment (ie. desktops and laptop computers and Microsoft 365 tenant). Clients with Managed Services are typically more reliable and secure, and only require minimal support.

What do you do for Managed Services?

This varies on the plan itself, however at a minimum the Bronze plan includes proactive monitoring and management, endpoint detection and response (AV/EDR) and Microsoft 365 data protection (backups).

The Silver plan provides in addition to Bronze provides advanced email security, email phishing tests and training, dark web monitoring and quarterly account reviews.

The Gold plan provides, in addition to Silver provides security monitoring, SaaS application alerting and vulnerability scanning.

We also have other compliance products including password management, application control and vulnerability management available, to ensure compliance with any applicable industry standards. Please see Plans for further information

Do I receive support?

Depending on the issue, some support is included in the monthly fee. However, certain requests are charged separately on a time and materials basis. Charged requests may include assistance or training with various third-party software, setting up new devices or employees, and other services outside of managed services.

You may wish to consider some pre-paid hours for regular support should you require this.

How do you price?

We price on a per device basis, whether this is laptop or desktop computer. Some licences are charged on a per user basis, domain name, Microsoft 365 tenant or email address. We will inform you of this on our quotation.

What costs are not included?

Some costs are unique to each business, which may use specific services more frequently. These additional costs include:

  • Software licencing (ie. Microsoft 365, third-party applications)
  • Phone/voice usage (ie. Microsoft Teams calling)
  • Domain names
  • Website hosting

Unless otherwise specified, you are responsible for the cost of your hardware, such as desktop and laptop computers, monitors, and cables, and other peripherals such as printers, scanners and modems.

Are you able to manage part of my IT?

CyberGuru offers comprehensive IT solutions but isn't suitable for companies needing partial IT support. Depending on your needs, we may be able to offer co-managed services or offer our consulting and professional services to deliver a project.

Does my business need every component?

Generally, yes. However, we understand that some businesses might have unique models where not all components are used.

If I wish to cancel, how much notice do I need to provide and what charges apply?

If you’re not happy with our services, let us know. We will terminate by mutual agreement, if we can’t fix it for you.

For licence purchases, then you can cancel within one month’s notice following the end of the current billing period (whether that be on a yearly or monthly basis).

In the event of termination of the contract, CyberGuru will a complete list of all usernames and passwords and assist in transitioning to alternate support arrangements as required.
